Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman (1953-1971)
In the great liberation war of Bangladesh, the seven people who were honored and honored with the bravery of the 30 million martyrs were honored with posthumous honors, Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman was one of them. In 1953, he took a jam in a poor family of Khord Khalishpur village under Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district. His father Akkas Ali and mother Kaidachun Nasha Since childhood he had to survive in the struggle with reality. The cruelty of poverty deprived him from the path of higher education, but did not want to stay behind the life-savers Hamidur. So in February 1971 he joined the army. On 25th March, Pakistani army attacked ambiguous Bangalees in Dhaka, patriot Hamidur Rahman joined the dream of liberation in the liberation army. Participate in one war after another.
October of 1971. Hamidur Rahman was fighting as a brave member of Mukti Bahini in Sylhet Srimangal area. Hamidur went ahead with his cigar in the tea garden, with the captain of his team captain Lieutenant Kwaym, with a light machine gun. He came close to the enemy's house and attacked the enemy team. The deceased was the captain of the opposition, including some Pakistani soldiers. The enemy soldiers started to cope with the situation and counter attack. But Hamidur Rahman did not turn back. Lived in battle. Suddenly a bullet hit him on his forehead. Hamidur Rahman was martyred in battle with heroism. Five days after the endless war, Dhalai B, O, P. Hamidur Rahman wrote the sacrifice of our liberation path. In recognition of his anticipated role and sacrifice in the War of Liberation, he was conferred with the highest state award Birshreshte title. After a long time, his remains were taken to Bangladesh and on December 11, 2007, he was buried at Shaheed Intellectuals graveyard in Mirpur, Dhaka.
In the last 14-01-2008, the name of Nizamuddin Khorddhalishpur of Shahid was changed to 'Hamid Nagar', and in the name of his own name in the city of Hamid, the local government division, local government, rural development and co-operatives in the year 2007-2008 fiscal year. Khan Saheb Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury (1886-1952)
He was one of the renowned zamindars of Sundarpur village of Maheshpur upazila. He was born in 1886 in this village. His father Surat Ali Chowdhury was a prominent person in the area. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury expanded his zamindari much more. In 1932, the British Governor General received the title of "Khan Sahib" in recognition of his contribution to the development of the area from the Wells of Wellington. He also had a great contribution in the Jute revolution of 1940. He died on 8 September, 1952 at the age of 72. While going to the village of Sadarpur, his historic royal Homes and cemeteries are available.
